A bachelor party to organise?

Find in this article some ideas of activities to organise for your friend's stag party. We also explain the average budget for a bachelor party and other practical details.

The ideal activities for a bachelor party

1. Urban Escape Game 🧩🕵🏻‍♀️

Go on an adventure in the city of your choice with your friends. With an urban escape game, you're sure to make the right choice: you play, you visit the city, (you drink?), you solve nice puzzles, you do cool and funny challenges.

And all of this in an unpolished tone, crude, vulgar but funny, with an offbeat sense of humour and a strong second degree.

2. Sporty driving 🏎🏁

  • Go-karting: organise a go-kart race to test your friends' driving skills on a circuit.

  • Driving a sports car: give the groom an unforgettable sports driving experience behind the wheel of sports cars such as a Ferrari, Porsche or Lamborghini.

3. Paintball / Lasergame 🔫

  • Paintball: organise a paintball session for a day. Several paintball "scenarios" are feasible and the activity can be carried out in large outdoor fields.

  • Lasergame: on the other hand, if it is rainy, then lasergame is the best solution to compete in a dark room full of obstacles!

4. Wilderness Survival Day ⛺️🔥

For thrill-seekers, former scouts or Mike Horn fans, you can organise a day of wilderness survival training with professional instructors. Your mates can learn basic wilderness survival skills such as shelter building, foraging and fire building. You can combine this with a night in a tent in the forest or on a large plain in the middle of nowhere!

5. Cooking classes / workshops 🍻🍷

  • You can simply book a cooking class to learn new recipes and cooking techniques: the bride-to-be will definitely like to know that her husband-to-be is developing steaming skills.

  • Whisky tasting workshop: or you can opt for a more sophisticated bake-off. By organising a whisky tasting workshop to discover the different types of whisky, learn how to appreciate them and, above all, how to handle them.

  • Beer brewing workshop: in the same spirit, if your buddy is more of a beer lover than a hard liquor lover, organise a beer brewing workshop to learn how to make craft beer, discover the different types of beer and make your own beer with your favourite ingredient!

  • Wine tasting workshop: or opt for a special tasting in a castle to discover all the secrets of your favourite wine!

6. Adventure sports day 🚣🏼🧗🏻

For the more sporty, daredevil, alpha males you claim to be 🙄🙃 : you can organise activities for your mate like rafting, canyoning or rock climbing. Or for maximum thrill, a parachute jump, bungee jumping!

7. Quad biking 🛣

You can still organise a quad bike ride for him for a fun and exciting experience in the wilderness.

8. A shooting session 🏹🪓

Different shots/throws are possible:

1. Archery: this can be done on large fields or in more mystical places like old castles

2. Axe throwing

3. Shooting range (pistol, rifle)

9. Weekend in the mountains 🏔

Book your weekend to go hiking in the mountains, mountain biking in the plains or skiing or snowboarding in season. End the day with a raclette by the fire and (possibly) a hot tub in the open air to recharge your batteries after a day in the great outdoors.

10. Stay at the lake 🐟

Your friend is a fish fan? Then organise a relaxing fishing trip to a lake. No thrill rides here, just a quiet time at the water's edge. Board games for the evening and barbecued fish.

11. Games night 🎮

Is your friend the kind of geek who likes video games, card games or board games? Then organise a game night with a competition and a small prize for the winner.

1. Or go for a poker night: everyone bets, and you end up allocating the prize money to the wedding.

2. Or take advantage of a guys' night out to go to the casino: place your bets and try to win the big prizes!

What is the average budget for a bachelor party? 💸

This will depend on several things:

  • The number of guests

  • The length of the event

  • Where you are going to spend it

  • etc.

On average, in Europe, people will spend between 400 and 500€ per person: including accommodation, food, drinks, transport, activities and sometimes even including the groom's participation.

Of course this also means going abroad and spending a weekend in external accommodation. The cost of your bachelor party can be greatly reduced by avoiding long journeys or an overnight stay.

Stag party activities can also be very expensive. That's why we've come up with a cheap but equally fun bachelor party alternative. The Urban Escape Game costs only €15 per person! The other advantage is that you don't even have to book it far in advance, unlike some services that are booked months in advance.

Who should organise the bachelor party?

Usually it is the best man(s) who are in charge of organising the event. The groomsmen can also participate and help with the organisation.

But if the group of friends is small enough, everyone can pitch in.
