What is a Coddy school trip?
A Coddy school trip is a city exploration game played on a smartphone. Your students, in teams of 5 to 6, walk through the city, solve puzzles linked to the places they pass and score points on the leaderboard. A game lasts 2 hours by default, and you follow every team live from your dashboard.
Your students discover the city
The app guides each team through the streets, the heritage and the hidden corners of the city.
They solve the puzzles together
Logic, reading and observation: the puzzles use different types of reasoning. Up to three hints per puzzle help teams move forward when needed.
They score points on the leaderboard
Every right answer earns points. The leaderboard stays hidden at the finish, so you announce the results whenever you like.
Two packages, with or without a Game Master
The PRO and PREMIUM packages use the same game and the same app. With PRO, you supervise the trip with your dashboard and our remote support. With PREMIUM, a Coddy Game Master is there on site.

How much does a Coddy school trip cost?
Expect from 6.50 EUR incl. VAT per student with the PRO package (for example 909.68 EUR incl. VAT for 140 students) and 14.97 EUR incl. VAT per student with the PREMIUM package and a Game Master on site. The price depends on the number of students and the city. Accompanying teachers play free.

Will my students scatter across the city?
Teams progress separately along the same route, so the whole class is not gathered in one place. Your dashboard shows every team's position live on a map, and you can message one team or all of them. Teams can meet at a shared finish point.

What if some students do not have a smartphone?
Each team needs at least one or two connected phones. Ideally every student has their own, so they receive their role in the game. Students without a phone share the devices in their team.

What is the educational value of the trip?
To move forward, students read, observe, reason and work together. The route reveals the history, heritage and hidden corners of the city, mission after mission.

My students are not all at the same level. Is that a problem?
Each puzzle offers up to three hints, and the last one gives the answer. Teams can use as much or as little help as they need as they move through the route.

What happens in bad weather or if something comes up?
The game is played outdoors. If the weather, a strike or the school calendar forces you to move the trip, your booking stays valid for 3 years and can be rescheduled freely.

Who can see the photos students take?
Each team only sees its own photos and videos. Only the teacher organising the trip sees everything, from the dashboard, and can ask us to delete it after the trip.
