Discover the English capital

London is a tourist destination that has made the whole world dream for several centuries.
Its dynamism, its history, its inhabitants... Many criteria will make you want to visit this city with all its secrets. We especially think of the public (and free!) museums, the stores that are open on Sundays, the beauty of the parks, the politeness of the locals or even the famous Teatime! No matter what's  your cup of tea (pun intended), the atmosphere is very different from one neighbourhood to another, you will definitely find one you'll like!
To help you get organized and to give you some ideas, we have listed the 10 places that, we think, are must-sees in London.

1) Buckingham Palace

1) Buckingham Palace

Buckingham Palace is the official residence of the British sovereigns. It's the place where events related to the royal family take place, visiting Heads of State are welcomed, but also, as you might know… an important tourist attraction.
You can attend a changing of the guard ceremony or visit one of the nineteen rooms of the castle with a guide.
The palace is the most representative place in London. Not going there would be like going to Paris, without seeing the Eiffel Tower.

2)  British Museum

2)  British Museum

The oldest museum in the world! Discover two million years of human history and culture. It was the first to cover all areas of human knowledge, open to visitors, from all over the world. More than seven million objects are in its collections: it is THE museum to visit in London!

3) Tate Britain

3) Tate Britain

The Tate Modern is a modern art museum in London with an international reputation. It's located in a disused power station in central London. More precisely, in Bankside on the right bank of the Thames. The place with its charm and its history, it seems as if it's frozen in time.

4) Palace of Westminster

4) Palace of Westminster

Not to be missed! The Palace of Westminster is one of the most recognizable and iconic buildings in the UK. The palace surrounds the north bank of the Thames.
For the record: a devastating fire destroyed almost the entire palace in 1834, sparing only the Westminster Hall, which dates to 1097. The current Parliament dates from the 19th century. After the devastating fire, the government launched a competition to find a new architect and 97 designs were submitted! It is a place full of history, politically emblematic and whose architecture is worth a visit.

5) Postman's Park

5) Postman's Park

A little gem hidden in the City of London. It's not just a simple park because this one, in addition to being pretty, pays tribute with a commemorative plaque to the heroes of the shadows. They were brave anonymous people who gave their lives to save others. Small but peaceful, restful, and moving, this park is an oasis of peace where we advise you to go for a walk.

6) National Gallery

Lovers of beautiful paintings will be served!
The National Gallery has some of the world's most famous painters on display.
